Pranjali Rai

Pranjali is a Doctoral Student associated with the Institute of Hazard Mitigation Planning and Research at the University of Washington. Her research focuses on integrated climate change adaptation and risk reduction planning in local jurisdictions. She completed her dual-masters in community planning and architecture from the University of Maryland in 2016. She is an AICP Candidate and a licensed architect in India. She has consulted on multiple neighborhood-scale planning and design projects in the US and India in different capacities. In recent years, she worked on several waterfront development plans, which drew her to issues related to long-term resilience. Eventually, she hopes that her work will help local jurisdictions to effectively plan for current and future risks to their community.
